Spelling Bee Bonanza

What:
We will hold a WRITTEN spelling bee test ______________________(I need to check the date...)

Why:
The student who spells the most words correctly in the WRITTEN TEST will represent our school in Round 1 WRITTEN TEST of the St. Louis Regional Bee held at _______________. Please sign up if only if you can attend the regional bee. Spellers who pass with the highest scores will advance to the next level, held on following Saturdays.

Who can participate:
Students in grades 4-8 are invited to participate. All students receive the SAME words; 4th graders take the same test as the 8th graders. This is the same procedure for the regional bee.

Description of the test:

  • 100 words will be given, one at a time.
  • Students write each word on a form provided.
  • The words are used in a sentence, and repeated.

How do you prepare:
Use the sites here (at the right or below) to practice spelling all kinds of words. Find other sites to practice. Practice words from the dictionary!

Signing up for Spelling Bee:
Email your child's classroom teacher or me, Tracey @   trobinson@psdr3.org, if you want a form for your child. If you need it printed, let your child's teacher (or me) know. To save paper, we did not want to send a copy home with each child. That would have been a waste of paper!
